I'm Paris Hilton, and I Approve This Message...

Say what you will about Paris Hilton...really, don't hold back. But at least she's a good sport.

Hilton, of course, has become advertisers' shorthand for superficial and vacuous, used most recently in Sen. John McCain's latest attack ad characterizing his Democratic opponent, Sen. Barack Obama, as, well, superficial and vacuous.

(Spectators of the often juvenile dust-ups among the cable news networks will remember the Fox News ad calling CNN's Anderson Cooper "the Paris Hilton of television news.")
